⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Here are some reasons why it's important to regularly check your car tyres:
Safety: Underinflated or overinflated tyres can cause handling problems, increase your risk of a blowout, and reduce your braking distance.
Fuel economy: Tyres with the correct inflation pressure can improve your fuel economy by up to 5%.
Comfort: Well-maintained tyres will provide a smoother ride and reduce road noise.
Longevity: Regularly checking your tyres for wear and tear can help extend their lifespan.
You should check your tyres at least once a month for the following:
Tread depth: The legal minimum tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm. You can check the tread depth with a tread depth gauge.
Sidewall damage: Look for cracks, cuts, or bulges in the sidewalls.
Wheel alignment: Make sure the tyres are aligned properly. This will help to improve handling and reduce wear.
Pressure: Check the tyre pressure with a tyre pressure gauge. The correct pressure is listed in your car's owner's manual.
If you notice any of these problems, have your tyres inspected by Global.
Tyres FAQs
Everything you need to know about new tyres, part-worn tyres, punctures and same-day fitting in Walsall.
Where can I get tyres fitted in Walsall?
You can get new and part-worn tyres fitted at Global Tyres & Servicing Centre, Unit 1, Bridgeman Street, Walsall, WS2 9PG.
Do you offer same-day tyre fitting?
Yes. We keep a large range of tyres in stock and offer same-day fitting whenever the correct tyre is available. Send us your registration or tyre size and we can check before you travel.
Do I need to book for tyres?
Not always. We welcome walk-ins for tyres. Calling ahead is still useful if you would like us to check stock, prices or a specific tyre size before you arrive.
Do you sell both new and part-worn tyres?
Yes. We supply new tyres in budget, mid-range and premium options, as well as quality part-worn tyres when available.
Are your part-worn tyres checked before fitting?
Yes. Every part-worn tyre we supply is inspected and pressure tested before fitting. If we would not fit it to our own car, we would not fit it to yours.
Can you check the right tyre size from my registration?
Yes. Send us your registration number and we can check the correct tyre size and suitable options for your vehicle. Confirming the size printed on your existing tyre is also helpful.
Can I choose a different tyre brand from the one already fitted?
Yes. You do not have to fit the same brand, as long as the tyre is the correct size for your vehicle and matches the size fitted on the other side of the same axle. We will help you choose an option that suits your driving and budget.
Should new tyres be fitted to the front or rear?
New tyres can be fitted to either axle, depending on the vehicle, tyre sizes and what you want from the car. Some drivers prefer new tyres on the front for steering, braking and drive traction, while others prefer them on the rear for wet-weather stability. We will explain the options and fit them where you prefer, provided the tyres are suitable for the vehicle.
What is included when you fit a tyre?
Every tyre fitting includes a free rim clean, a standard valve and wheel balancing. A TPMS valve is charged separately only when a replacement is needed and stock is available.
Do you repair punctures?
Yes, when the tyre is safely repairable. You can come straight in for a puncture inspection. We will assess the tyre and advise whether a safe repair or replacement is needed.
Can every puncture be repaired?
No. Sidewall damage, shoulder damage, large holes, exposed cords and tyres that have been driven flat are not normally safe to repair.
Can you check whether my tyres are legal and safe?
Yes. Our free tyre checks cover tread depth, pressure, sidewall damage, cracks, bulges, uneven wear and signs of a slow puncture.
Can you replace a TPMS valve or sensor?
We can replace TPMS valves and advise on suitable options for your vehicle. Let us know your registration number before visiting so we can check availability.
Can I bring my own tyres for fitting?
It depends on the tyres, their condition and whether they are suitable for your vehicle. Contact us before visiting and we will let you know whether we can take the job on.
Do you dispose of old tyres?
Yes. Your old tyres can be removed and disposed of as part of the fitting service.
